Announces 2010 Annual Meeting Date

San Francisco, CA, April 6, 2010 -- AMERICAN SHARED HOSPITAL SERVICES (NYSE AMEX:AMS), a leading provider of turnkey technology solutions for advanced radiosurgical and radiation therapy services, announced today that its 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 10am EDT in the East Trianon Suite of The Carlyle Hotel on 35 East 76th Street in New York. The Board of Directors has fixed the close of business on April 23, 2010 as the record date for determination of shareholders entitled to notice of and to vote at the Annual Meeting.
